About Me

Hello, I'm Lisa -

I'm half Chinese and half American, but I was born and raised in Japan.

I moved to the US when I was 17 and have been living here ever since.

I've been making art from as early as I can remember.

Art-making is many things for me:

Art is part of my self-care. It is a cornerstone of my well-being and mental health.

Art is part of my spiritual practice: it connects me to something larger than myself.

Art is how I explore and investigate the interplay of my inner and outer worlds.

Making art is how I process the mystery of consciousness and life.

Why I started Coaching

My coaching practice grew from my experience of teaching yoga for 9 years. Something they tell us a lot in the yoga world is that "yoga" means "union." The root word for "yoga" comes from the word meaning to "yoke" or "connect." I started yoga because I wanted to more deeply connect with my inner self and spirituality.

Gradually, over the years, I became interested in going beyond physical yoga postures, and using art, expression, movement, and dreams as a means to connect with different inner states and realms.

In doing so, I've found that there are abundant messages and deep states of knowing, waiting to be received and integrated, flowing around and through us all the time.

The reason I believe in working with images, symbols, unconscious movement and dreams, is that they bypass our everyday, logical, thinking mind.

When we work with their messages, we can be led beyond the limitations and boundaries of what we believe we are capable of and who we think we are, into a deeper awakening and knowing of our selves and our capabilities.

This work has shown me that the universe is always conspiring to help us grow toward aligning with our true inner nature.

My goal for my clients, is for you to experience and trust this greater force - and to intimately know and honor your unique inner nature - so that you can witness the beauty and magic of your creative spirit unfolding in your life.

My work is ultimately about supporting the greater creative spirit of this planet, through each individual creative being.
